Author and pop culture historian Marty Gitlin returns with a presentation about an exciting time in music history. The program features videos of what many consider the finest period in rock-and-roll history, from the birth of the British invasion through the response of wonderful American bands.
Included is footage of live performances from the Beatles, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Mamas and Papas, Simon and Garfunkel, Kinks, Byrds, The Who and more. Marty will also discuss the impact these bands made on society and pop culture, while comparing and contrasting the British and American bands. Trivia and a question and answer period will be included for a lively and engaging time!
