Program Description
Event Details
The honey bee is one of the most useful insects but bee populations are on the decline. Come learn the basics to get started as a beekeeper; supplies needed, locations for hives and the "how-to" of keeping bees. Local beekeeper Judy Curcio will also discuss the complex social organization of the bee hive community and the life cycle of the honey bee.
As this event is scheduled in the winter, registration is recommended in case of inclement weather closing notifications.
