The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in the heart of New York City on 5th Avenue, is a world famous and comprehensive museum known for its stellar art collection. Our virtual tour explores world famous stunning masterpieces, from paintings to Egyptian monuments, covering thousands of years. The history and founding of the museum is uncovered through vintage photos and behind the scene stories. Current and upcoming special exhibitions will be discussed, as well. Marisa Horowitz-Jaffe has been studying and teaching ancient history for over 25 years. She enjoyed a two-decade career in elite NYC art museums. She holds double bachelor’s degrees in Egyptology & Classical Archaeology from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s degree from Harvard University in Art & Museum Education.
