 old took when fleeing West Point in an attempt to reach British lines in 1
 780. We'll do a easy-medium hike around 3 miles in length that will p
 ass through the bamboo forests of the Glenclyffe Loop with great ridge-lin
 e views high over the Hudson River, then continue on to Arden Point, which
  juts out into the river, offering nice views of the river, West Point Mil
 itary Academy and the Bear Mountain Bridge. A bag lunch will be provided.
